Take a trip to Disney Paris

I found this great video of Disney in Paris .

I hope you enjoy as much as I did
It would have been much better if it had been longer with a little more to see but it shows the way we have moved forward to looking at hols instead of looking at a brochure well I think this is the real start of things to come as we can now look at our hotel before we book online and take a virtual tour from inside as well as outside .and we can now come from outer space and land in the resort good init

Pensionpoverty – epetition response

We received a petition asking:

“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to raise the State Basic Pension to levels paid in every other EU country.”

Details of Petition:

“The UKs Basic Pension is 17% of the National Average Wage. Most European pensioners receive a Basic Pension of at least 60% of their countries Average wage. Only Estonia (33%),Ireland (31%),Holland (30%)and the UK(17%) pays a Basic Pension of under 40% of its Average Wage. A Political consensus was reached by the EU Nations at the Laeken Summit 2001. that each Member State would attempt to attain a Basic Pension of 40% of its Average Wage by 2007 and then work towards 60%. The UK provides the worst Basic Pension by far. In fact , taking the Pension as a percentage of each countries Average Wage you will note that Pensioners in Greece, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy receive over 5 times our basic pension. Those in Portugal, Malta , Hungary and France receive over 4 times as much and those in Poland ,Czech Republic ,Latvia ,Finland and Sweden receive 3 times as much. Slovakia ,Cyprus ,Denmark, Germany ,Lithuania and Belgium receive over double ,whist finally Estonia Ireland and Holland have almost twice our basic pension.”

Read the Government’s response

Comparisons between levels of State pensions alone do not give a clear picture of overall provision for pensioners. A major consideration is that the amount quoted as being the ‘rate’ of pension in some countries is not a flat rate paid to all pensioners but an average rate. Many countries have earnings-related schemes and thus people who have received low earnings get much lower pensions.

In the European Commission’s Joint Report on Social Inclusion and Social Protection 2009, they found that “the income of elderly persons has increased significantly over the last decade, keeping pace with the strong growth in earnings”

It also showed that pensioners’ incomes had risen from 15% below the EU average in 1997 to 9% above it in 2007.

It should also be noted that there are fundamental differences in the availability of other entitlements and services between different countries. For those on low income, the UK provides one of the most comprehensive systems of support in the European Union.

One of this Government’s key commitments is to address pensioner poverty. Since 1997 we have targeted help on the poorest pensioners, those who need it most, whilst providing a solid foundation of support for all. We will be spending around £13 billion more on pensioners in 2008/09. Around half of this extra spending is going to the poorest third of pensioners.

It is misleading to focus on the basic state pension alone. Taking account of the additional state pension means the total income is equivalent to around a third of average earnings. In addition, private pensions are a far more important source of income in the UK than they are in other countries – in the UK 86 per cent of pensioners have an income other than State entitlements.

In fact, Eurostat data shows that the median income of older people in the UK compares well with other EU countries. It is the 5th highest in the EU taking into account differences in living costs – higher even than in France and Sweden.

I may be made redundant

Will it ever end

It would seem I was relaxing a little too soon when I thought my job was safe .

Last Friday another seven people lost their jobs with redundancy  one lad had been working for the company for over twenty years and was a charge hand for most of that time one lad has been fighting cancer for twelve months he came back from sick to be told he was finished that day .

The last lot were finished or picked because of bad time keeping sick or lates that sort of thing as I have been working for the company for seventeen years with two wks sick after having a op on my elbow I thought I should be safe well I was this time but the nexed lot are going in aprox July this time however they will be using another method it will depend on your skills now as I am a full time driver what other skills do I and my mate have we have just drove the vans delivering and picking things up for me seventeen years he has done the same thing for twenty years so it looks grim for me it would seem they are not bothered if you work hard or like the company as some who will survive hate the company and always have some may be lazy but that didn’t count last time as some good workers finished and some loved the job they had been doing for some years.

I feel like canceling my holiday in a few wks as I will only be thinking will I have a job to come back to as I think they would do it to me while I am away .
if it wasnt for Sheila loving her hols so much I would cancell for the time being.
I just told a mate to look at the bright side pay off sme of your debpts and take a holiday so I can do the same if the worst comes to me.
it would seem the only time i get to put something on here is when something bad has happened  but I guess thats life we have to take the good with the bad.
well thats enough of my moaning back to a little fun

My mate wanted me to do another video of his hols so I have finaly done one after a few months I may add just couldnt get round to it I hope he enjoys it as he is a good mate of mine now for over twenty years thats how long we have woked together at the present job and two jobs before that so Brendan if your online on my place take a look at your hols in Greece.
This lad has his own jet yes he realy does it’s about three foot long lol he bought it from America it has a rel jet engine runs on petrol so I have decided to put his plane in the video hope you enjoy Bren and anyone who may like to see it ill put the link on as the videos on here tend to be a little slow at running so heres the link.

All the best Mike

the night we all got together I was just sitting watching everyone and I realised that i had done ok in my life I had a lovely daughter who was laughing out loud at something one of my sons had just said my daughter in law was enjoying the night my wife was looking around I think she was enjoying the night in the same way as me looking at our family the way I was ,I find it hard to show these things in life I dont think I even gave my daughter a hug on her birthday thats me but I wanted to .I think that may have come from my childhood  my parents would do anything for me but I cant remeber ever getting a hug from them.
My youngest son was having a good time he likes a lager and as the night goes on he gets everyone involved more if they arnt allready ,that was me years ago I lost that fun I have no idea why i just seemed to get drawn into myself a little ,My grandchildren thought the night was a great succes as they stayed up late and in a nice club my eldest grandson even met a girl behind the bar Hope they got together later on.
So you see when I woke the nexed day I decided to say what I wanted but on the video

Happy birthday Dinky

Happy Birthday Dinky
This is a family day out a long time ago as you can see our daughter is a small girl sat on the back of the Relant Robin a car  we did many miles in as you can see a small car but four adults and three kids went on many hundred mile trips in this car good old days our two sons and my mother in the picture Sheila my wife is to the right of the picture im at the back and my dear old dad was taking the picture as well as doing most of the driving because he loved it so much.
I dont think my daughter ever comes on here but ill wish her a happy Birthday anyways .
Wow how time flies My Daughter was forty last wk she is a great daughter heart of gold and works very hard has three kids of her own growing up fast .
The family went to Frank and Benys for a meal the one outside of the Trafford centre in Manchester we all had a good night I know that because Sheila and I were the only ones not to drunk to remeber I dont drink as im driving and do so for a living so have to be very careful just in case the nexed morning i could be over the drive limit that reason and well im not realy botherd about drinking anymore it doesnt agree with me anymore besides done that and had the T -SHIRT .Sheila just didnt fancy a drink dont know why but thats her choice.
The do was setup by her daughter Jade and boyfriend and I think Marie will have helped somewhere along the line she usualy gets dragged into things because she is good at that sort of thing and she likes to help out when she can.

My Sheila is sixty in August so I think we may be doing something like that then we will have to have a think about that one.

well it’s Saturday and not in work till Tuesday good wish we could have a Bank hols every wk  with pay of course Sheila never gets a Bank holiday she has Thursday off every wk come rain or shine she works the rest appart from her two weeks we have abroad every year ,nearly didnt go this year as the work thing over here is a bit dodgy at the moment but I had the money so we are going this time who knows about nexed year enjoy this one just in case its our last .Sheila should retire in August not sure if she will yet its only a couple of hours and its her own money so she may want to keep on earning while she feels fit enough to do so.

Well Iguess I had better get back to Sheilas Ds game card im deleting about thirty games she doesnt want on as she is taking it on our hols for the lazy days around the pool filling it up with the things Sheila like’s but she has to try them first then I delete anything she doesnt like and then we start over she has a eight gig card so plenty games on that should keep her busy while I snore my head off well she says I do I wouldnt know being asleep sometimes I just like to empty my mind and relax in that state for half a hour you should try it at first its very hard to do as all sorts of things come into your mind but i can now do it daily with the help of some relaxing music its suposed to help the mind and the imune system i need help with both so worth a try I know it got my blood pressure down so that cant be bad can it and it helps me relax a little more as i get very tense in the day so thats good to.
Well a very happy birthday Paula  heres to the nexed forty years  lol.
just think if I make it to your birthday ill be one hundred and we can have a double celebration  lol .

It’s a worry that lots of people have had to put up with just lately so here’s hoping this trend will happen over the world .
I decided today to book our holiday come what may as we have never not gone on holiday even when our kids were little so why start now.
I managed to scrape the money together before all the ups and downs of work so who knows maybe nexed year we wont be so lucky.
so lets enjoy this one.
Majorca Alcudia thats where we are going not been there since our eldest was a small girl she is now forty nexed wk so a while ago, I guess our daughter will be staying in our house like last time just to look after it while we are away we are fully allarmed and so all is ok that way but i feel better knowing someone is on the premises all the same, and I know she likes the change .

I have been busy last two wk ends editing videos for utube ,something I have been going to do for a while the videos are of Steam trains my late Father used to drive them and he wanted to do a webpage or something on them lines sadly he was to ill the last few years and pc’s were a little dear then .
I am in the middle of uploading a few videos of the steam days so I think he would have enjoyed that and in a while im doing a webpage in his name im trying to find anyone who may remember my late father from his railweay days so that will prob take a while, his days were at the four bridges in Thats in Patricroft Eccles Manchester .
and his name was Albert Vale driver his dad was a foreman at the depo his name was allso Albert Vale my brother was a fireman for a while as I was getting old enough the steam trains were going out and diesel was coming in not for me it would have been like driving a bus not at all like a steam engine driver.

Well thats about all my news for today so ill getr back to my video editing do take a look at them if you like Steam trains just put a search in utube for mikevalesenior and all my videos will come up oky koky .

Do you remember February 1993 in England , when a young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping
centre by two 10-year-old boys?

Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to
torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his mummy.

Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint
in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his fingers off with scissors. Other mutilations were
inflicted but not reported in the press.

N.B. :- Remember, a 3year old cannot possibly defend themselves against a 10 year old, let alone of 2 them.

What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie’s mother was forbidden to identify his body. They then left his beaten small body on railway tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident.

This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys (now men ), anonymity for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new
identities. They will also leave custody early only serving just over half of their sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and violently took Jamie’s life away and in re turn they
each get a new life!

Please… If you feel as strongly as we do, (and if you haven’t already signed this petition) that this is a grave Miscarriage of justice – Hit the
forward button and add your name at the end, and send it to everyone you can!

If you are the 700th person to sign, please forward this e-mail to:
cust.ser.cs@gtnet.gov.uk
and mark it for the attention to Lady Justice Butler-Sloss.

Then continue on until it hits 1400, before you email her the list again.

There is power in numbers & these petitions do help.
Maybe it’ll prevent another child from a violent death & maybe it’ll get greater, more appropriate convictions for these criminals. whatever their age.

Please take a few seconds to forward it to your mail list & don’t forget to add your name to the list.

Thank you.
